    Break Habits Skillfully

Have you ever resolved to break a habit, only to forget your good intentions as soon as it matters? You’re not alone. Our habits and patterns become more reinforced the more we do them, so the older a habit is, the harder it can be to break it. Habits like doomscrolling, overusing media or games, and retail therapy might make us feel better for a moment, but when we do them too much they can ultimately cause problems for us long term.

Resilient Habit Coaching helps you identify the situations that trigger an old habit, gently redirect yourself to a healthier pattern, and set yourself up for success. Sometimes it takes a few tries to find what will work for you, and coaching supports you in getting there.

    Build New Habits

How many times have you committed to building a new habit, only to have your good intentions fizzle in a few weeks (or days)? Most new year resolutions fail because we really believe that all it takes to develop a new habit is willpower, commitment, or wanting it badly enough. For most of us, that’s simply not true.

Resilient Habit Coaching takes willpower out of the equation and helps you figure out how to fit a new habit into your life, what needs to change to make space for it, and set yourself up to follow through.

    Make it Stick

Every person is unique, and our situations change over time. Sometimes we think we have successfully made a change in behavior, only to lose our new habit or fall back into the old one as soon as we encounter a stressful situation or a change in context. New jobs, moving house, and new people in our lives can set us back into old patterns, but so can smaller things like taking a vacation or having a schedule change.

Resilient Habit Coaching helps you set yourself up for success so your new habit sticks through life’s changes. Together we identify what could interrupt your progress and make a plan to thwart it, figure out how to get you back on track when you do have a setback, and give you the accountability to stay the course.
